Claws Of Power Controls & PC setup

Claws Of Power is a mouse-driven real-time lane battler. You spend dried fish to summon cats; they walk on their own. SteamDB lists the launch executable as 喵咪争霸.exe on Windows. This page does not invent a WASD “leader cat,” a full gamepad glyph table, or a rebind menu that no patch has described.

What official notes do confirm

• Windowed mode and custom resolution — added in the March 17, 2026 trial update. If the game launched in an awkward fullscreen on a second monitor, that patch is the one that was meant to fix your life.
• Game speed — August 26, 2026 saves the selected game speed. You can play faster; the game remembers. August 27 stopped secret levels from inheriting 3× speed from normal levels. If a secret stage is still stuck at triple speed, update.
• Equipment shortcut on the map — launch-week “Update Notice.” Manage gear without leaving the map screen. Details on Equipment System.
• Click a slot to replace equipment — August 25. That is a UI control, not a combat bind.
• Loading-screen tips — August 26 added helpful gameplay tips on the loading screen. Read them; they are the closest thing to an official tutorial overlay.
• Attribute readouts — August 25 added Attack Range, Attack Interval, and Knockback Strength to descriptions. Hover or open the detail page instead of guessing.

Steam Deck

Steam marks the game Playable on Deck (tested August 24, 2026 on build 24901483 per SteamDB):

• Default controller configuration reaches all functionality.
• Default graphics perform well.
• Some on-screen glyphs still look like mouse/keyboard.
• Some in-game text is small.
• SteamOS compatibility: Compatible.
• It does not require internet for single-player.

That is “Playable,” not “Verified.” Expect to tap small text. The game is still a Windows Unity build running through Proton on Deck, not a native Deck UI overhaul.

Cloud, idle, and not losing a save

August 7 demo notes: complete save system, Steam Cloud Save, complete idle system. The live store page still lists Steam Cloud. If you bounce between a desktop and a Deck, let Cloud finish before you switch. User file quota on SteamDB is 10 MB / 16 files — plenty for a single-player tactics save, not a photo gallery.

Languages and a real combat bug

Steam ships interface and subtitles in English, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Russian, Japanese, Portuguese-Brazil, and Spanish-Latin America. The August 23 patch fixed units that would not attack under certain language settings. If your cats idle in a translated UI, update before you rebind anything.

White’s infinite dash was a bug, not a control. Fixed August 29.

System requirements (store page)

Minimum: Windows 7 SP1+ 64-bit, Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 or AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+, 4 GB RAM, Intel HD 4000.

Recommended: Windows 10 64-bit, Core i3-3240 or FX-6300, 8 GB RAM, GTX 650 Ti or HD 7750 1 GB.

There is no Mac or native Linux depot in SteamDB — Windows only, with Deck via Proton. A fake “Apple Silicon hotfix” does not belong on this wiki.

Combat mental model (not a key table)

You click (or tap) to spend fish on a cat, press battle items (Garrison Whistle, Charge Horn, Clockwork Mouse, Meow Mine, Jack Fusion) when they are unlocked, and optionally change game speed. Cats walk themselves. Holding position is an item, not a modifier key — see How to Use Items.

If a future patch publishes a rebind screen, this page will list it. Until then, any site showing “Q = cheap cat, W = lane press” is guessing.
