Claws Of Power Tier lists
Ranks for named cats only — no gemstone legendaries, no fake 38-row ladder.
A tier list for Claws Of Power has to be honest about sample size. There is no huge Western ladder. What we have is Garlic Sprouts talking about his own cats, plus Steam patches that buffed specific units. This hub splits that into two pages:
- S-tier cats — who the designer hyped, who the patches boosted, and who is still a glass cannon on purpose.
- Best starter deck — a Chapter 1–2 board you can actually field.
If a cat is not on those pages, we do not have a public name for them yet. The Cat list is the roster source of truth.
How this list is built (and what it is not)
It is not a 10,000-game Diamond-rank spreadsheet. That mode does not exist. It is not a gacha banner. It is a reading of:
- Chapter 1 roster copy (Jack cheap, A Qiang glassy, Fatty anti-knockback, Xiao Fu 1v1s, Wu Ji stun, Ju heal).
- Later posts (Masashi teleport, Garfield three-hit shield, Nuba eat, Solo “stronger than I expected,” Chi Wulang 200% opener).
- August 23 (Xuebao cost −1, Jack Fusion Hero HP/ATK, extra slots on four cats, Midas Touch).
- August 29 (White dash fix, Snowball vs Father).
When a patch nerfs or buffs a named cat, S-tier cats moves. Until then, do not treat a YouTube thumbnail from another cat game as evidence.
Read this with a deck guide, not instead of one
A “tier S” cat still loses if you spend fish one-by-one and fight on the enemy doorstep. How to Build a Deck and Getting Started are the actual win conditions. The Deck Builder is a naming toy for the sourced roster.
Dropdown length
This category only has three URLs (hub + two children), so the PC header never needs a “View all” overflow. Extra cat theory stays in Guides on purpose.
Next after a tier skim: Best cats for beginners if you have not left Chapter 1, or Hard Mode if you already have Midas Touch and the credits.
Frequently Asked Questions
Fast answers to the questions players ask most.
Is this tier list official?
No. It is a fan reading of Garlic Sprouts’ posts and Steam patches. The developer has not published letter grades.
Why are Sapphire and Magenta missing?
They were never official cats. The [Cat list](/players/cats-list/) only uses published names.
How often will ranks move?
When a Steam note buffs or fixes a named cat — the way August 23 moved Xuebao and Jack Hero.
Should I rebuild after every patch?
Only if the patch touched your board. Language-attack bugs and missing equipment were client fixes, not tier shifts.
