Claws Of Power How to Unlock Hidden Stages
Three hidden stages, three named companions, and the secret Chapter 1 trial that unlocks Cook.
Steam’s price-reveal post promised 3 hidden stages and 3 mini-bosses. The launch-eve post went further: three special companions are hidden across the map. You take on combat, fishing, and other mini-games, then fulfill hidden conditions to recruit them. The named trio is Cook — The Hot-Tempered Chef, Jimmy — The Dedicated Trainee, and Spring Roll — Luck Above All.
This page does not invent an alley that only opens if a reserve cat is at full HP, a bridge that needs a no-item clear of stage 25, or a 6% legendary drop from a cat throne. Those gates were never in Steam news.
Cook — the one we can pin to a place
The Steam Next Fest demo update is the only post that names a location:
The demo now features its very first secret stage in Chapter 1. Hidden away in a strange little corner, a peculiar trial awaits. Complete it, and you’ll unlock the mysterious cat — Cook!
On the full release, start in Chapter 1, look for a corner that is not on the main arrow, and treat that trial as Cook’s door. The March 17 notes also rearranged Chapters 1 and 2, so an old demo screenshot may not match the live map. If the corner moved, it is still described as a Chapter 1 secret, not a late-game dungeon.
Cook’s exact combat kit was never published (“What abilities does he possess? You’ll have to discover that for yourself”). This wiki will not guess a heal percentage.
Jimmy and Spring Roll — map-wide hunts
The August 20, 2026 post groups all three companions behind combat, fishing, and other fun mini-games. It does not say which companion uses which mini-game. Honest reading:
- Explore the world map, not only the next campaign node.
- Play the fishing activity when it appears; it is called out as a real unlock path, not flavour.
- Finish the mini-games instead of skipping them. The post frames them as the hidden conditions, not optional toys.
- Jimmy is “the Dedicated Trainee” and Spring Roll is “Luck Above All.” Those titles are the only official hints about their identity.
When you recruit them, they join the roster like any other cat. Fold them into the deck rules instead of parking them in a collection screen.
Hidden stages versus secret stages versus mini-bosses
Steam uses several phrases. Keep them separate:
- 3 hidden stages — campaign secrets, count from the price-reveal post.
- Secret stage / secret level — the Chapter 1 Cook trial, plus later “secret level” bugfixes. The August 27 patch stopped secret levels from inheriting 3× speed from normal levels. If a secret feels unfairly fast, update.
- Secret Stages difficulty — a launch-week “Update Notice” adjusted Secret Stages difficulty for a smoother experience. They were tuned after players touched them, which confirms they are in the live build.
- 3 mini-bosses — Duancang, Degumiao, and Father from the countdown post. Those are bosses, not hidden-stage gates. See Campaign Walkthrough and Lord Challenge.
A base-rush video that is actually this game
The embed on this page is a real Claws Of Power experiment: winning by only attacking the enemy base. That is not an official hidden-stage condition. It is a player strategy that matches Masashi’s teleport-behind-the-first-enemy kit and Clockwork Mouse dragging a formation off the point. Use it as inspiration for secret corners where the trial may punish a fair 1v1 and reward a backdoor. Do not treat the video title as a Steam quest name.
Checklist without fake gates
- Patch to at least August 27 so secret-level speed and Clone Shovel icon bugs are gone.
- Sweep Chapter 1 for Cook’s strange corner.
- Open every map node that looks like fishing or a mini-game; do not skip them for campaign XP.
- Track Cook, Jimmy, and Spring Roll as a set of three — the launch post treats them as a hunt.
- If a Secret Stage still feels brutal, remember launch week already lowered their difficulty once. Read Release notes before assuming you missed a gem spend.
World layout for the six regions sits on the World map. There is no premium-gem key for these unlocks in any official post; Claws Of Power is a $6.99 premium game, not a key-gated gacha.
Frequently Asked Questions
Fast answers to the questions players ask most.
How many hidden stages are there?
Steam’s price-reveal post says three hidden stages and three mini-bosses. A separate launch post hides three companions: Cook, Jimmy, and Spring Roll.
How do I unlock Cook?
Complete the first secret stage in Chapter 1 — a peculiar trial in a strange corner, per the Next Fest demo notes. Abilities were not published.
Do I need fishing to get all hidden cats?
The launch-eve Steam post lists combat, fishing, and other mini-games as the paths. It does not map each activity to one companion.
Why does a secret stage run at 3× speed?
That was a bug. The August 27, 2026 patch stopped secret levels from inheriting 3× speed from normal levels.
